USDWE installed successfully under IUCN supervision a pilot unit at Khyouf special area within Al-Arda district promoting agriculture in water within closed units made of fiber glass. This is an innovative agriculture technology where it is producing fruits and vegetables on during the entire year using minimal water , zero soil, zero pesticides and chemicals, and accordingly minimal pollution. It is aiming at improving food security and cope with climate change negative impact at water availability at Jordan
USDWE has completed a pilot project funded by Ministry of Social Development about using recycled domestic grey water for agriculture. Reusing grey water resulting from the sinks located at the schools' yards to irrigate the school's garden instead of using drinking water. It is mainly diversion of grey water (10-12 m³/month) through pipes leading to submerged gravel filter in the garden to be filtered and treated according to standards and then discharged through irrigation network to irrigate the garden. This approach made benefit of the entire amount of wasted grey water without any complications or negative impacts.
USDWE is main partner for RSCN in a new project called "Improving Resilience of Vulnerable Community at Faqou Villagehe".
